Who we are?Woodson Catlin
My mission is to find the precipice where art, form and craftsmanship meet usability and function. We make custom-made furniture for the client that despises conformity and wants something built to last lifetimes.
I grew up in Fairhope Alabama and quickly deforested the woods behind my house building log cabins for forts. I got my parents in a wee bit of trouble for that one. I always loved working with my hands and worked my way through college slinging a hammer and doing trim carpentry summers and sabbaticals. I thought it was time to upgrade my bed while in grad school. I couldn’t afford what I wanted, but I was pretty confident I could build it. The tool purchases and projects snowballed from there.
I’d been goaded to get into some finer joinery by my Uncle Kendal a fine woodworker in his own right. He loved sharing books of Japanese joinery and little by little I pushed myself further and further. It’s a lot more fun still growing every project
My work was picked up by a local shop and I have been slowly turning my passion into a career.

Let’s design together
One of the reasons we became interior designers in the first place was because we love collecting and then putting it all together. But when you’re designing your own house, the hardest thing is to finish it, as you’re always adding your next favourite thing, and finally there’s no space left.
